We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data when you use our Peach and Pit journaling app.

- Location Data (with your consent): If you grant the App permission to access your device's location services, we collect your Precise Location (e.g., latitude and longitude) while the App is in use. We only collect this data if you explicitly grant permission through the device's operating system (iOS or Android) when prompted.
- Transaction and Purchase Data: Information related to your purchases within the App, such as the type of subscription (e.g., Annual Premium) or one-time purchase (e.g., Streak Save), the amount paid, and the date of the transaction. We do not collect or store your full payment card details (which are processed securely by the third-party app store, such as Apple's App Store or Google Play).
- Usage Data & Analytics: Information about how you interact with the App, such as features used, time spent in the app, and technical information about your device (e.g., device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers). This helps us understand how the App is used and improve its functionality.
- Advertising Identifiers & Data (with your consent): If you grant us permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, we may collect advertising identifiers (such as IDFA) and related data to deliver personalized advertisements and measure the effectiveness of our ad campaigns.
2. How We Collect Information
- Directly from you: When you create an account, enter journal entries, or upload photos.
- Automatically: Through your use of the App, for analytics and advertising purposes, as described above.
- From Third-Party App Stores: We receive transaction receipts and confirmation of purchases from the platform you use (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store) to fulfill your Premium subscription or one-time purchases.
3. Use of Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To provide and manage your account: This includes authenticating users and maintaining your account.
- To fulfill and manage purchases: This includes granting you access to Premium features (like the annual subscription) or applying the benefits of one-time purchases (like the streak save).
- To store your journal entries and user-generated content securely: So you can access them across your devices and share them as intended within the App.
- To enable social and networking features: We use your Precise Location Data to allow you and other users to discover and follow each other based on proximity, distance, and shared location experiences.
- To improve the functionality of the App: By analyzing usage patterns and addressing technical issues.
- To provide personalized services: Such as suggesting features or content relevant to your usage.
- To display advertisements: If you consent to app tracking, we use collected data to show you relevant advertisements within the App and to measure their performance.
- For internal analytics and research: To understand user behavior and trends, helping us enhance the App's features and user experience.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share your information as described in this policy, including with service providers necessary to operate the App (e.g., Firebase for data storage) and with advertising partners (with your consent).
4. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored securely in the cloud (e.g., Firebase) and is encrypted both in transit (when it's being sent between your device and our servers) and at rest (when it's stored on the servers) to protect your privacy and data security. We also employ additional security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your data.
However, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Payments and Transaction Data
- Payment Processing: All payments for Premium subscriptions (e.g., Annual) and one-time purchases (e.g., Streak Save) are processed by the respective third-party platform (e.g., Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We do not directly collect, store, or process your credit card numbers or other sensitive financial information.
- Data Collected: We receive transaction-related data (as noted in Section 1) from the platform to confirm your purchase and manage your access to paid features. This data is essential for administering your subscription, managing renewals, and ensuring you receive the services you have paid for.
- Security: The third-party platforms that process your payment information are solely responsible for its security and handling. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
6. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
- Your Consent for Tracking: In accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, when you first launch the Peach and Pit app, you will be prompted to grant or deny permission for us to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. This tracking allows us to deliver personalized advertisements and analyze the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
- Your Choice: You have the choice to "Allow" or "Ask App Not to Track." If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," we will not track your activity for advertising purposes across other apps and websites, and you will still be able to use the full functionality of the App, though the ads you see may be less relevant.
- Managing Permissions: You can change your tracking preferences at any time in your device's Privacy Settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
7. Advertising
We display advertisements within the Peach and Pit App. To support these ads and make them more relevant to you (if you've consented to tracking), we partner with third-party advertising networks. These networks may collect and use certain information about your device and your activity within the App, including your advertising identifier (IDFA, if permitted), IP address, and app usage data.
- Purpose: This data is used to:
- Deliver personalized advertisements.
- Measure the performance of ad campaigns (e.g., how many times an ad was viewed or clicked).
- Prevent repeated display of the same ads.
- Opt-Out: Even if you allow tracking, you may be able to limit personalized advertising through your device settings:
- iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and toggle off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" or specifically for Peach and Pit. You can also reset your Advertising Identifier.
8. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. As mentioned, we use third-party service providers like Firebase for data storage and potentially others for analytics and advertising. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data protection standards.
10. Data Retention
We retain your personal information, including your journal entries and user-generated content, for as long as you maintain an account with us.
